The assistant answers your questions using an AI model, Claude, provided by Anthropic. Each question and its answer are then sent to me by email, along with a few details about the visit, so I can see what visitors are looking for, improve the site and spot abuse.

Data

Your question, the generated answer, the page viewed, the site you came from, the language, the time zone, the screen size, the type of device and browser, the IP address and the approximate location derived from it (city, country).

To answer you, improve the site and the FAQ, and prevent misuse.

Retention

Twelve months at most.

Please don't include sensitive information in your questions. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn't use data received through its API to train its models.

Alma answers your questions with the same AI model as the FAQ assistant. The conversation isn't stored: only the messages you write are sent to Anthropic, just long enough to generate the reply.

If you ask her to pass on a message or a meeting request, she shows you a summary first: it's only sent to me when you click “Send”, and it's then handled like a message from the contact form.

Like any host, Vercel records technical logs on each visit (IP address, page requested, date and browser) to keep the site secure and running smoothly. These logs are kept for a few days.

No cookies are set, neither by me nor by any third party: that's why no banner asks for your consent.

Two preferences are simply kept in your browser, at your request: the light or dark theme, and the sound of the Mandarine demo. They never leave your device, and you can erase them by clearing the site's data in your browser.

Your data is only shared with the providers needed to run the site:

Sending the form and assistant emails (United States).

Generating the assistant's answers (United States).

These transfers outside the European Union are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, GitHub, AI assistants (“Ask ChatGPT…”) or my clients' sites take you off this site: their own privacy rules then apply. The GitHub activity shown on the home page is fetched by the site's server: your browser never contacts GitHub.

You can ask at any time to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, object to it or receive it in a reusable format. Write to me at hello@eliesluismans.com: I reply within one month.

If you believe your rights aren't being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.
